Jessica Perez (she/they) is a conceptual
interdisciplinary artist with a focus on biomorphic
design meant to invoke empathetic discussions about
the anthropocene, sociological ecology, language
and the immigrant experience.

They use scientific principles to research the topics intertwined with every piece, as well as a deeply embedded spiritual practice tied to her Cuban heritage. All works are inherently educational and part of a larger social practice of approaching all with empathy and involving participants in the conversation. Not limited to any one medium or form of working means their techniques are constantly evolving, responding to the concept organically and inherently tied to a research based practice wherein every work is an opportunity to experiment. Materials such as paper, glass, wood, and more are used to make sculptural installations that can
be used as a launching point for a larger conversation.
